Every RF Microneedling session at Resonance Marin follows a precise sequence. Each step builds on the last. Needle depth is adjusted from 0.5mm to 4.0mm, customised to your skin and the area being treated. Tap any step for detail.

Cleanse + Prep

Double cleanse with INBAR+co formulations to remove all product and surface debris. Gua Sha prepares tissue and improves circulation. Numbing cream applied and left to take full effect before needling begins.

Body Acupuncture

Body acupuncture is administered while numbing cream takes effect. This calms the nervous system, stimulates blood flow to the skin, and primes the body for deeper collagen response. Included as standard, not an add-on.

RF Microneedling

Needle depths from 0.5mm to 4.0mm, adjusted by zone. Radiofrequency energy delivered at depth creates controlled thermal injury, triggering the collagen remodelling cascade. Pressure and depth are checked with you throughout the session.

XO Booster + Sound

INBAR+co XO Stem Cell Booster (Damask Rose, Haberlea, Calendula exosomes, and Korean Peony) applied immediately post-needling while micro-channels are still open. Sound mesotherapy drives actives deeper. RF Nanoneedling follows to further amplify penetration.

LED + Oxygen Finish

Fibroblast-stimulating LED therapy to accelerate cellular repair and reduce inflammation. Calming oxygen with INBAR+co post-treatment serums to seal and support barrier recovery. Soothing mask as a final step.

On the day

Arrive with clean skin, no makeup or SPF. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for intake on your first visit.

Prepare your skin

We recommend a Foundational 60 facial before your first RF session to optimise skin condition and maximise results.

Afteryour treatment.

Immediately

Skin will appear flushed and feel warm. Mild tightness and swelling are normal and resolve within 24 to 48 hours.

48 hours

No makeup, active skincare, heat exposure, steam rooms, or exercise. INBAR+co barrier repair serum only.

7 days

Avoid retinol, exfoliants, direct sun, and any other clinical treatments.

SPF daily

SPF 30 or higher every morning. Skin is more photosensitive post-procedure and protection is essential.

Results timeline

Initial improvement visible within 4 to 6 weeks. Full collagen response develops over 4 to 8 weeks per session. Results continue building across the series.

Is RF Microneedling painful?

Most clients describe the sensation as a warm, prickling pressure, not sharp pain. Numbing cream is applied before the session and takes full effect before needling begins. Needle depth is adjusted throughout the session based on the area being treated, and your comfort level is checked at every stage. The body acupuncture included in the protocol also helps calm the nervous system before and during treatment.

What is the downtime after RF Microneedling?

Expect redness and mild swelling for 24 to 48 hours, similar to a moderate sunburn. Most clients look presentable within 2 to 3 days. Avoid makeup, active skincare, heat, and direct sun for 48 hours. No retinol or exfoliants for 7 days post-treatment. SPF daily is essential. Full collagen response develops over 4 to 8 weeks.

How many sessions do I need?

A series of 3 to 5 sessions spaced approximately 4 weeks apart is recommended for most skin concerns. Results are visible and cumulative. Each session builds on the last. Clients with deeper scarring or significant laxity typically see the most significant improvement by session 4 or 5. A single session delivers noticeable improvement in texture and pore appearance within 4 to 6 weeks.

Who is RF Microneedling not suitable for?

RF Microneedling is not suitable during pregnancy, for clients currently on Accutane, or for those with pacemakers or active implanted electronic devices. Wait at least two weeks after Botox or filler injections, and three weeks after laser treatments or clinical peels. Active skin infections, open wounds, or active acne in the treatment area are also contraindications. If you are unsure, please call us before booking.
