Every acupuncture session at Resonance Marin is built around how you present on the day. There is no scripted protocol. The acupuncturist reads the body, selects technique, and adjusts throughout: meridian needling, cupping, Tui Na, Gua Sha, and acutonics as the session requires.

The 60-minute session focuses on acupuncture with supportive modalities. The 90-minute session adds bodywork and massage, extending the treatment into the musculoskeletal system.

All sessions include time on the infrared crystal mat with INBAR+co aromatherapy oils. Every product used in the room is formulated in our Corte Madera lab.

Commonquestions.

What does acupuncture treat?
Acupuncture at Resonance Marin is used for chronic and acute pain, headaches and migraines, muscle tension, stress and anxiety, fatigue, sleep disruption, and immune support. The acupuncturist assesses how you present and builds the session around it.
Does acupuncture hurt?
The needles are hair-fine. Most clients describe a brief, faint sensation at insertion, not pain. The majority fall asleep during the session. If you are needle-averse, Cupping is available as a standalone treatment with no needles.
What is included in every session?
Every acupuncture session includes time on the infrared crystal mat, INBAR+co aromatherapy oils, acutonics (tuned vibration at acupoints), and Gua Sha or Tui Na as appropriate. The 90-minute session adds a full bodywork component.
What is the difference between 60 and 90 minutes?
The 60-minute session is acupuncture with supportive modalities: cupping, Gua Sha, Tui Na, and acutonics. The 90-minute session includes all of that plus deep-tissue massage and bodywork. Choose 90 minutes if musculoskeletal tension or injury recovery is part of your goal.
What is Meridian 30?
Meridian 30 is a focused 30-minute acupuncture session available as a standalone treatment ($150) or as an add-on to any massage, Restore, or full acupuncture session ($120). Ideal for maintenance between full sessions, or to layer acupuncture onto bodywork.
Can I book acupuncture as a first treatment?
Yes. No prior acupuncture experience is required. A full intake is conducted at the start of every session.
Who should not have acupuncture?
Acupuncture is not suitable during pregnancy, for clients with bleeding disorders, or for those on blood thinners without medical clearance. If you are unsure, please call us at (415) 891-3328 before booking.
